Our mission
Broadway Serves is a NYC based service organization whose mission is to connect theater professionals to volunteer opportunities, locally, nationally, and abroad. We are committed to creating a platform for theater makers to “be the change beyond the stage” by engaging in activities that directly impact the needs of our most vulnerable communities. By partnering with organizations whose missions align with ours, as well as developing socially responsible original programming, we create a bridge between the theater industry and the community at large to address issues of accessibility to basic human rights.
Our Programs
Broadway Serves: NYC
Broadway Serves offers Volunteer opportunities throughout the year, where we partner with local shelters, soup kitchens, and other service organizations. We also provide opportunities to serve by way of original programming, which allows us to creatively tailor service to the specific needs of various communities.
Kids Serve
Through partnerships with local organizations, as well as original programming, we introduce young performers to the joy of giving and the importance of community involvement. We foster the spirit of volunteerism to a new generation, knowing that this arm of our organization is the fuel for our mission.
Broadway Serves: To Go
The "To Go" program of Broadway Serves helps theater professionals be of service wherever their show may be. Through partnerships with local organizations, and in collaboration with members of theater productions, we coordinate service activities that work with the demands of theater professionals on the road.
